The Video Devices PIX-E7 7" 4K Recording Video Monitor with HDMI and SDI can record 4K video over HDMI and 1080p over 3G-SDI to SpeedDrive SSDs. The PIX-E7 has a built-in 7 Inch 1920 x 1200 resolution touchscreen for monitoring framing, checking focus, and displaying scopes.
Video Devices designed the PIX-E series of recorders to be compact so you can use them with small cameras and camcorders without weighing them down excessively.
Aside from being able to record audio from the digital video connections, the PIX-E7 has analog audio inputs in the form of 3.5mm jacks. To expand the pro-audio capabilities of the PIX-E7, a separately available XLR audio mixer with meters can screw into the bottom 1/4"-20 tapped hole.
SpeedDrive™ Recording and File Delivery
The PIX-E records to the affordable, super fast SpeedDrive, an industry standard mSATA drive contained within a custom-designed enclosure. The SpeedDrive, which plugs directly into the PIX-E, doubles as a USB 3.0 thumb drive for very high speed offload to any computer without the need for a special cable or drive docking station.
Two SpeedDrive options are available, a 240 GB SpeedDrive and an Enclosure-Only version that allows the user to choose and easily fit any size of mSATA drive. mSATA drives are available in sizes ranging from 128 GB to 1 TB.
