Some fun news from Blackmagic Design today: several products including Micro Studio Camera 4K and Video Assist were used as part of the setup for Sir Elton John’s “All the Hits” World tour. Micro Studio Camera 4K and Video Assist were used to get live shots and angles of the stage, for video introductions, and to verify signals and frequency, while UltraStudio Express and two Teranex Mini HDMI to 12G-SDI models with Smart Panels were used to receive inputs from the cameras and send SDI feeds from the media server out to the stage’s giant video wall and 40 foot LED chandelier. DaVinci Resolve Studio was also used for concert production on the tour. The full press release is below:

Blackmagic Design today announced that the Vatican’s Pontificia Università della Santa Croce, which trains the next generation of Catholic priests and leaders of the Church Communication Office, has equipped its dedicated studio facilities with a full multicam production workflow, featuring the Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K and ATEM 1 M/E Production Studio 4K.
